Linda's quilting journey is a beautiful extension of her life's work as a former educator. After spending many years shaping minds with patience and care, she transitioned her passion for teaching into the art of fabric, bringing a deep sense of discipline and creativity to every project.
As a quilter, Linda is defined by her meticulous nature. She approaches her craft with an eye for exceptional design and vibrant color, ensuring that each piece tells a stunning story. Her favorite quilting techniques are those of custom heirloom quilting projects.
Donna Hay comes from a long line of sewists. Growing up in a house where her grandmother, mother and sisters sewed their own clothing, she fondly remembers the 70's as her favorite era because her mother added an extra "swoosh" of fabric to her bell bottoms!
Years later, after getting engaged, Donna and some of her family members made a quilt together. And she was caught up in the quilting world! She wanted to learn to quilt by herself. After retiring from a life of serving the public as a registered nurse, she began her quilting journey.
She said, " I truly love every minute sewing and learning new techniques. All of the knowledge I have on quilting comes from my quilting teacher, Kay Allison."
Beverly is an exceptionally talented quilter whose artistic journey is deeply rooted in a rich family legacy of craftsmanship. Coming from a long line of quilters and professional upholstery experts, she inherited both a profound respect for textiles and a mastery over fabric.
While she balances her creative life with a demanding and compassionate career as a nurse, Beverly brings the same dedication and precision from the medical field into her studio.
Her creative process is nothing short of extraordinary. Rather than following rigid plans or patterns, she simply dives into a project. Guided by natural creativity, she designs fluidly on the fly, consistently turning fabric into a finished masterpiece.
Melba's passion for textiles sparked during her time as a secretary for a nationwide fabric warehouse. Her daily operations involved coordinating with premier design houses like ROBERT KAUFMAN and FREE SPIRIT FABRICS, giving her an insider's education in print and color. This administrative background ultimately inspired her to transition from managing fabric to sewing it.
She now focuses on two signature styles: Patchwork Baby Quilts and Traditional Memory t-shirts.
Kay Allison is a quilter, pattern designer and dedicated quilting and sewing instructor. A former public school teacher, she spent years fostering a love of learning in the classroom. Now she transitioned her instructional expertise into the creative world of quilting and textiles. Driven by an eye for bold aesthetics, her signature style celebrates bright, high contrast and deeply saturated color palettes. She believes that quilting should be a joyful, sensory experience.
To stay at the forefront of modern quilting movement, she attends national and international quilt shows. These events serve as a primary source for creative inspiration, allowing her to study emerging techniques, connect with fellow artists, and bring fresh, innovative ideas back to her community.
