Stories to Stitches - in collaboration with IVY GREEN ACADEMY
We will be creating STORIES to STITCHES and sharing all projects with Miss Georgia, a primary guide at IVY GREENE ACADEMY in our small town. This projects involves quilters who will choose their favorite childhood book and make a mini-quilt or wall hanging to share with students there.
Dr. Donna Akers is the founder of Ivy Green Academy, a Christian microschool in Pontotoc, Mississippi, serving grades 1-12. She is an award-winning educator who has earned Gold Level Accreditation for the past three years. Donna founded Ivy Greene to give children a learner-driven, Christ-centered education that honors their potential.

Located in Pontotoc's downtown historical Main Street, BOOKENDS is a whimsical bookstore containing a wide variety of handmade goods, snacks from various local producers, along with both new and used books. Whether it's through showcasing local authors, organizing a book club, or hosting store events, our main purpose is to promote our community!
And there's even more good news! The SASSY STITCHES ladies will display their STORIES TO STITCHES during the fall months of 2026! Each quilter has chosen their favorite childhood book and will make either a 3-dimensional mini-quilt or a wall hanging to illustrate their favorite book. Exact date to be decided but we do hope you plan to join us!
