I grew up in a house where my mother, my grandmother, all of my sisters, and me all sewed our own clothes. So, as you can see, I come from a long line of sewers. The 70's was the best era because bell bottoms were the rage! My mother always added extra fabric to the "bells" and they just waved with a swoosh. It was amazing!
Years later after getting engaged, my grandmother, mother and my middle sister and I made a quilt together. From that time on, I wanted to learn to quilt. After retiring, a sweet lady from my church told me about a quilting class so I signed up. The quilting journey started from there. I truly love every minute of sewing and quilting and learning new techniques. All of the knowledge I have on quilting comes from my dear teacher, Kay Allison.
